Francesco Nale has over 15 years of experience in financing, acquiring and managing infrastructure investments in Europe. He has covered transactions in the utilities, transportation, renewables and PFI/PPP sectors.
Francesco has been a member of the Arcus team since its inception in 2009, taking on the responsibility for the Investor Relations team and the Asset Manager role for the Angel Trains investment. Francesco was a key member of the team which led a consortium of 8 investors which acquired Angel Trains in 2008 and has since been responsible for the implementation of the Fund’s strategy for the investment, including the refinancing of £2bn+ of acquisition debt, the overhaul of the management team and company organisation, and the procurement of £400m of new investment opportunities.
Previously, Francesco was a member of the European Infrastructure team at Babcock & Brown (2007-2009). Prior to that, Francesco worked ABN Amro (then acquired by Macquarie) (2003-2007), Dexia Crédit Local (2001-2003) and IMI Bank Lux (2000-2001).
Francesco holds a University degree in Economics and Management from Universita’ Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy (1996-2000).
