Simon Gray has over 20 years of experience in the origination, procurement, structuring, execution, financing and management of infrastructure assets throughout Western Europe as well as Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia. He has led and completed a large number of transactions across the ports, rail, road, energy, communications and water sectors.
Simon was a member of the team that founded Arcus in 2009, and since that time has played a significant role in the management and development of the business. Simon has been a member of the Investment Committee, Arcus’ Management Committee and the Fund Supervisory Board since the formation of the business and was elected as co-Managing Partner in July 2013. Simon led the team that completed the acquisition of Angel Trains in 2008 and oversaw the take-private of Forth Ports in 2011.
Prior to Arcus, Simon was the head of Economic Infrastructure at Babcock & Brown (1996-2009). Before that Simon worked for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (1992-1996) and Prudential Bache Capital Funding (1989-1991). Simon holds an MA in Engineering from Trinity College, Cambridge (1986-1989).
