Market

  • Driven by surging data consumption, population growth, and the widespread adoption of hybrid working models—all of which are accelerating the need for fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) connectivity.
  • Poland stands out as an attractive FTTH market due to its fragmented landscape, low levels of network overbuild, anticipated ARPU growth, and competitive capex costs—factors that differentiate it from other European markets. Despite currently ranking in the lower half of EU coverage rates, with 70% FTTH penetration, Poland has been experiencing a strong expansion in network coverage, and is expected to retain a high single digit CAGR over the next years.
  • The local market remains highly fragmented: the top account for approximately 60% of the market, while the remaining 40% is distributed across a long tail of regional providers.

Asset

  • FixMap is a fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) company in Poland that owns and manages 22 subsidiaries, comprising network operators and local internet service providers.
  • Together, they cover approximately 415k homes passed, with around 130k homes connected across the country.
  • Its networks are primarily located in semi-rural areas, where population and housing density are relatively low and high-speed broadband alternatives remain limited. This positioning offers a compelling opportunity for value creation through Arcus, by enhancing technical and operational integration via active asset management.
  • Arcus will complement FixMap’s disciplined M&A strategy, supporting its ability to capitalise on a well-identified acquisition pipeline and further consolidate its presence in the Polish FTTH market.
