AmberOne A1 forms an integral part of the European integrated road plan (EU TEN-T) and constitutes a key North-South corridor that connects the main Polish Baltic port cities of Gdansk and Gdynia with the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovenia to meet the Adriatic Sea
In June 2019 GTC launched AmberGO, the automatic toll collection method, along the length of the Network. The system requires a one-time installation of a mobile application, and does not require customers to purchase or install any on-board units. It is expected to be 3 times quicker than traditional cash or card toll payment systems. As a result, AmberGO will increase the capacity of the toll plazas, limiting queues at peak times, reduce carbon emissions and improve the overall experience for all travellers without any additional cost.
GTC has built 177 animals passage tunnels and has reinforced fencing, to ensure the safety of motorway users and local wildlife, such as elk, wolves, wild boar and foxes.
