London, United Kingdom (3 May 2022) – Arcus Infrastructure Partners (“Arcus”) is pleased to announce that on 28 April 2022, Arcus European Infrastructure Fund 2 SCSp (“AEIF2” or the “Fund”) along with its joint venture partner De Bruijne Vos Beheer B.V. completed the sale of 100% of E-Fiber Exploitatie B.V. (“E-Fiber”) to Open Dutch Fiber B.V. (“ODF”).
Arcus has worked closely since May 2018 with E-Fiber’s talented management team, led by founder Eric Vos. During the course of Arcus’ ownership, E-Fiber has grown its business by more than 7x in terms of homes passed, to become the 3rd largest fiber to the home (“FTTH”) network owner in the Netherlands.
Jack Colbourne, Arcus Partner and Asset Manager for E-Fiber commented: “E-Fiber is an excellent company with bright prospects. It has been a pleasure working alongside Eric Vos and his management team these past four years. We wish the Company and its people well and are confident that, as part of the ODF group, E-Fiber will continue to play an important role in connecting communities through the delivery of FTTH in the Netherlands, particularly in the less densely populated areas where E-Fiber is focused.”
Eric Vos, Founder and CEO of E-Fiber, commented: “The collaboration between E-Fiber and Arcus allowed us to greatly accelerate the company’s rate of growth during a period when many municipalities in the Netherlands were becoming increasingly keen to ensure that all of their residents have access to ultrafast broadband infrastructure. Arcus has been a hands-on shareholder, and a supportive and reliable partner throughout.”
Arcus was advised by Herbst Hilgenfeldt Partners (M&A Advisor), Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (Legal), Florent (Legal), and EY (Tax).
